Castle of Cardboard

In Castle of Cardboard, you step into the shoes of a toy doll brought to life in a sprawling, handcrafted cardboard fortress. Created by the imaginative mind of a child, this castle is no ordinary playroom—it is a labyrinth filled with challenges, dangers, and mysteries waiting to be unraveled.

The castle is brought to life by colorful illustrations and inventive puzzles, but it also harbors a host of drawn monsters that have sprung from the walls to challenge your every step. Your task is to confront these creatures, solve clever puzzles, and ultimately find your way out of this cardboard maze before time runs out.

Cardboard Castle is a game that blends creativity, exploration, and adventure into a compelling first-person experience. Will you overcome the castle’s trials and escape its grasp, or remain a captive of its imaginative depths?

Take on the challenge and discover what lies within Castle of Cardboard. Your adventure awaits.

In Castle of Cardboard, I worked on the full character pipeline for the main protagonist, a girl doll brought to life in the cardboard fortress.

Concept Design
For the concept art, our team wanted to emphasize contrast, so the protagonist was designed as a very traditional, girlish doll. I focused on capturing this classic doll-like appearance while ensuring it could stand out as a central character in the game’s imaginative setting.

Modeling
Based on the finalized concept, I built the 3D model of the character, ensuring her proportions and design matched the handcrafted aesthetic of the game world.

Texturing
I painted the character’s textures to emphasize the cardboard and toy-like materials, making her fit seamlessly into the vibrant, illustrated environment.

Rigging
Finally, I rigged the character, preparing her for animation so she could move naturally and expressively within the game.
