Doug Out

 

In Doug Out, a pixel-style game created during a rapid prototyping course, I worked as the concept artist. The game follows a brave little dog diving into the deep sea, dodging dangerous fish, and trying to rescue drowning divers.

What did i do

Character Design
I created three different prototypes for the main character, the dog, and also designed a version of the dog wearing a diver suit.

Enemy Design
I designed three large and dangerous deep-sea fish that act as threats to the player.

Rescue Targets
I created the design for the drowning divers who need to be rescued, giving them a sense of urgency and vulnerability.

Environment and Atmosphere
I drew the first version of the deep-sea environment concept art, which was later refined and improved by my teammates.

UI Elements
In addition to characters and environments, I also worked on parts of the game’s UI to match the overall pixel art style.
